"Son’s unusual elbow injury"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was given an appointment for 2pm at Crosshouse Minor Injuries by NHS 111 staff earlier today. We arrived around 15 minutes early & he was taken within 5 minutes of our arrival, receiving excellent, friendly care. We are home again within 2hrs & that was with a supermarket visit thrown in. Not bad at all considering the fire service were on site as we arrived & people had been evacuated. I know this isn’t everyone’s experience, but, credit where credit is due. Thank you.

Dear M412

With apologies for the delay, I would like to thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided within the Minor Injuries Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse.

I sorry to hear that you required to attend the Emergency Department with your son, but really pleased to hear that he was triaged, assessed and treated so promptly. It is also reassuring to know that you found the care provided by our staff to be excellent and friendly.

When times are challenging, it’s always nice to hear such positive feedback from our patients and their relatives and it will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the wider Team in the Department.

Please accept my best wishes for your son’s ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
