"Referral to PositiveLife"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Genito-Urinary Medicine

(as a service user),

The health advisor Jo at the RVH GUM service referred me to @PositiveLife NI.

I think everyone who goes to GUM should be referred to Positive Life as they are literally life-savers.  I was having suicidal thoughts and could not see a way through the many associated complex mental health traumas I have. Drew at Positive Life introduced me immediately to their services which in my case, literally saved my life. Positive Life is NI’s only service for people with HIV.

The stigma that people with HIV who live in Northern Ireland adds hugely to a sense of isolation, insecurity, worthlessness and loss of hope. Often I feel what is the point of living.

Having someone to talk to regularly and activities give you a sense of worth are amongst the many things Positive Life have to offer.

Thank you for saving my life.
