"Her warmth and dedication truly set her apart"

About: Occupational Therapy

(as a parent/guardian),

Our experience with Lizzie from Ayrshire South Children and Young People's Occupational Therapy Service at Nightingale House has been nothing short of exceptional.

From the very first meeting, Lizzie demonstrated a deep understanding of our son's unique needs following his brain surgery. Her compassionate and child-centered approach made every session engaging and productive.

She skillfully assessed his sensory sensitivities, motor skills, and daily living challenges, then tailored interventions that not only supported his recovery but also empowered him with confidence. Her creative strategies—whether through play-based therapy, practical exercises, or environmental adaptations—transformed his daily experiences, making once-difficult tasks more manageable and even enjoyable.

Beyond her technical expertise, Lizzie's warmth and dedication truly set her apart. She took the time to support us as parents, providing insightful guidance on how to support our son at home and in school. Her collaborative spirit extended to teachers and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to his care.

Thanks to her unwavering support, we have seen remarkable progress in his coordination, independence, and overall well-being.

We are incredibly grateful for Lizzie’s expertise and kindness, which have made a profound difference in our son's journey to recovery. Our son is so lucky to have Lizzie in his team of professionals!

Dear Iulianalb238

With apologies for the delay, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided by the Ayrshire South Children and Young People's Occupational Therapy Service at Nightingale House.

I am delighted to hear that both your son and yourself have received such professional and supportive care, from the Team and from Lizzie your therapist. It’s often the small things that can make such a difference, such as taking time to engage with and guide both parents and children, resulting in an excellent experience for both of you

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Team and with Lizzie in particular.

Please accept my best wishes and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge her care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
