"Level of Care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 South

(as a service user),

I recently attended hospital with a hernia that had started to give trouble. I was admitted to CAH ward 3 south and added to the emergency surgery list.

I had to wait a few days as my issue was more pain than life threatening but this was well explained by the medical team.

The nursing staff on 3 south were excellent and provided me the highest standard of care ensuring my comfort through my 5 day stay.

I also had an incident where dropped a personal item in the sink while washing which unfortunately went down the drain. When I made staff aware they sealed off the bathroom and called an emergency plumber to recover it. They then cleaned the item thoroughly before returning to me.  This was way beyond what they had to do for me.

Overall I can’t thank the staff enough in the ward with a special mention to Meave, Philip, Allen, Linda, Sandra, Nicole & Lindsey.

I have never had a medical team make me feel as relaxed and comfortable where nothing was too much hassle for them.
