"Constant ear infections"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire University Hospital Monklands / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 9)

(as the patient),

I suffer from constant ear infections which are very painful , most of the time they leak fluid and some times its blood I also have Psoriasis in my ears , I was referred from Dermatology to Ent , the consultant I saw was very pleasant and chatty , but I did not feel I was treated for the reason I was there for .

I was referred to Ent for the constant ear infections and pain in my ears but mainly the left one , I had explained to the consultant I cant get them syringed due to ear infections as it would possibly burst my ear drums therefore I paid to go privately for microsuction at the Ent appointment , they checked my ears and micro suctioned them gave me hydrocortisone for the Psoriasis ( which I have had already ) and said everything will be in in 6 to 8 weeks

I asked again about the constant ear infections and the pain and again I was told everything will be ok in 6 to 8 weeks .

I feel very disheartened as I am still suffering from ear infections and I am no further forward.
