Had a procedure a couple of months ago after being diagnosedwith severe iron anaemia. Procedure involved having some samples being removed that were going to be tested for cancer. Procedure was done through a private hospital but on NHS. 4 weeks ago hospital told me the results had been sent to the GP practice and someone would call me. 4 weeks on and no phone call! I have chased 3 times! Once told they had no results, the 2nd time told magically they had found them and the duty GP would call me and the latest I have had no reply at all! Yet it's marked on the system so I know they have it. Absolutely appalling! Funny enough, I kind of want to know whether I am dealing with cancer or not!!! To top it off, when I had my procedure done the consultant couldn't understand I wasn't on any treatment for the anaemia!
