"machine accident on little finger on right hand"

About: Omagh Primary Care Complex / Urgent Care and Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

When I arrived for treatment in the treatment room, Nurse Holt, was extremely reassuring, caring and professional.

I caught my finger in a machine, lifting the skin on the top and bottom of my finger wide open. The procedure required seventeen stitches - 10 on top and seven on the underside of the finger. It was not easy for Nurse Holt, but she persevered, doing a fantastic job.

The knuckle also had a small fracture.

Nurse Darragh bandaged the wound. I was very fortunate both were on duty today at the Omagh hospital minor injuries unit.

Thanks to both for their care and laughter, making the painful procedure that much easier.

Dear Lucky Jack,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of your recent visit to Urgent Care Treatment Centre on the Care Opinion platform.

I am pleased to read that the care provided was extremely reassuring, caring and professional and that staff kept the atmosphere light while you were receiving treatment.

I will share your lovely feedback with staff in UCTC and in particular with both Nurse Holt and Daragh.

Lastly, I hope that you make a speedy recovery.

Kind regards,
