"The level of care he has received is second to none"

About: Inpatient - (OPMH) / Windermere

(as a relative),

My dad was transferred from DRI to Windermere lodge towards the end of February 2025 and the level of care he has received from his arrival is second to none. The staff are fantastic in how they care for and interact with all the patients and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Me and Mum are always made to feel welcome when we visit and are regularly updated by both care staff and also the senior staff and management team around my dads care / how he has been since our last visit and plans for his care going forwards.

Dad always used to ask to come home with us but he actually told us he was happy to stay where he was after one recent visit.

Dear Smalls83

Thank you for taking the time to share the feedback on yours and your families experience of Windemere Lodge.

The staff are extremely caring and compassionate and go the extra mile to ensure people needs are met and relatives feel comfortable leaving their loved ones in our care. The staff are passionate about good quality care and the community feel of the ward.

I will ensure all staff are aware of this feedback, I am sure they will be delighted to receive this and feel assured they are getting it right.

Kind regards
