"So talented and dedicated"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Ear, Nose & Throat (ward 3b) Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Outpatient Department

(as a parent/guardian),

The nurse we seen in Glasgow Children's Hospital last week was outstanding. Her name was Hazel and she works in the ENT outpatient department.

Her care, compassion and bedside manner was the best I have ever experienced, and the way she put my very nervous 5 year old to ease was amazing.

She was professional, and completed my daughter's blood draw without breaking conversation with her, keeping her totally distracted the whole time.

It is so overwhelmingly heart warming to experience the care from someone who is both so talented and dedicated to their job.

She deserves all of the recognition in the world and I for sure hope that she gets it! There are not enough words to express how incredibly grateful and thankful I am to have had her as my daughter's nurse.

Good morning @aquilaje56

As the Senior Charge Nurse of the Outpatients Department. I would like to thank you for taking the time to write such lovely feedback, when visiting the ENT clinic recently with your daughter.

Hazel is our lead ENT specialist nurse and is exceptional in her role. I am delighted to hear that both yours and your daughters experience was really one to remember.

Kindness and compassion within care to all our patients goes a long way and I am thrilled that you both experienced such kindness and professionalism when attending Hazel's clinic.

I will ensure that Hazel receives the recognition she deserves and is made aware of this wonderful feedback.

I hope all is well with your daughter and thank you once again.

Have a great day.

Kind Regards

Mhairi Stirrat

Senior Charge Nurse
