"Such a positive experience"

I have the most amazing experience giving birth to my daughter at the Borders General Hospital. My baby came 3 weeks early by an emergency c section. I knew my baby was breach so it was scary going into labour naturally.

Every midwife, staff nurse and doctor I spoke to were so lovely, encouraging and genuinely interested in my wellbeing and my daughters. Going into theatre was made so relaxed for myself and husband and I felt I was in safe hands the whole time. I was reassured throughout and everything was thoroughly explained.

The after care in the ward was just as nurturing for myself and my little girl and I was given some great advice for the first few days of my daughter’s life. I can’t thank the Maternity Unit enough for such a positive experience at the Borders General Hospital.
