"I could not have been given any better care"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Cardiac Surgery

(as a service user),

I was admitted for a planned cardiac catheter procedure. As a nurse myself, I was not looking forward to being a patient. From the second I arrived, I could not have been given any better care.

All staff in the department seemed genuinely happy in their posts and it reflected in the exceptional care that was given. Myself and my husband were put at ease at all times. The schedule of how my day would play out was fully explained.

The experience in the cath lab was exactly the same and the doctor overseeing my care was truly exceptional. I would never have believed that something that had brought me so much anxiety could have been made so easy to cope with.

The staff in this unit are a credit to the NHS.
