About: Causeway Hospital / Surgical 2

(as a service user),

I had an open cholysyectomy. I was in Surgical 2 Ward D and then Ward C. The team that completed my care -  from Consultant Mr Campbell, CSAU for all the prior appts from A&E, to the lovely lady that brought me a hot cup of tea -  all showed me nothing but care, compassion and understanding, every one of them in a genuine and sincere way also checked that I understood everything that was happening.

Nursing staff were under pressure and yet  at all times were cheery, always had time for you. Ever grateful to Kathleen and Siobhan who helped me get ready for discharge.

My ward area was also always clean, there were always cleaners working away in the wards. I just want to say thank you to this wee team they definitely made this stage of my health journey better, they all made a difference.

My name is Linda Saunders and I am the Domestic and Catering Manager for Causeway Hospital I am sorry to hear of you have recently been unwell.

I am glad to hear that whilst in the hospital and on your journey through the appointments leading up to your admission you received a good standard of care from my Catering Staff and I would like to thank you for the Positive feedback for the domestic team as well.

I will ensure this positive feedback is shared with all staff in the dept. Positive feedback is essential in keeping up Staff Morale and reminding staff of the fabulous work they do and continue to do.
