My first contact was with Kelsey who was wonderful. She set the right tone and made the conversation not in the least embarrasing. She was very clear about the process and very helpful.
The bowel prep arrived in good time and was easy to use. I had anticipated that the result would be unpleasant and likely to keep me up all night but that was not the case. Yes, one needs to stay close to a toilet!
On the day I had difficulty finding the unit due to lack of signage. When I did find it everyone was very kind and made things very easy.
Michelle was in charge of her team of Fiona and Lynne.
The process I found interesting to catch on the screen but when it got to the furthest point the sedation was completely inadequate and I suffered a lot of pain. I realised that I was being held down by the two nurses. I’m sure that more sedation could have been given considering that it is easily reversed afterwards.
After the procedure I was left to rest and was quite comfortable. Was given a tray with tea toast and biscuits which was very welcome.
Thanks to all concerned.
