We can not fault the care our dad/papa received at ward 57 Langlands building enough. Our dad/papa spent the last 9 weeks of his life there after taking a massive stroke in January 2025.
After hearing some horror stories about this building we where very worried about him getting moved over there from ward 62, this worry didn’t last for long as we where reassured he would be well cared for. After a few days spent there this was the truth, all of the staff where fantastic from staff nurses auxiliary nurses, student nurses, housekeepers, domestics, physio staff, op staff everyone of them couldn’t do enough for our dad/papa.
The only negative thing we could say is the staff where run off there feet due to short staff but this wasn’t the staffs fault they still tried to do there best, but with the care all the patients on this ward needs there is no way they can work to the standards with short staff. It is a very demanding ward. Not fair on the staff at all as they can only do there best and are only the one person.
We are so grateful for each and everyone of you on ward 57 not only did you care for our Dad/papa yous also cared for us as a family during his last few days of his life, we will never forget yous we appreciate everything yous all done for us as a family.
Keep being yous ward 57 yous are amazing in our eyes.
"Fantastic care"
