"They gave me back my son"

About: Addiction services / The Asha Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was/is severely depressed and is wrecked with anxiety. He ended up turning to drugs and alcohol , drugs mainly, and his wee life just spiralled out of control because he was using to be able to live a daily life. He didn't use for the sake of getting bombed or enjoying being bombed, he just couldn't cope with socialising or his wee daily living.

But thanks to ASHA that has been turned around big time. He's a different person and I have my son back, he doesn't look for anything like that since he has entered ASHA.  He said it's the best thing ever happened to him was the help from ASHA , and he is in a really good routine, he's lost weight, he's starting to get his confidence back slowly but surely and he's slowly becoming the bubbly son/fella he was some years ago. There's nothing I can say about how it could improve because he had the best care possible and they were constantly looking after him when especially coming off all sorts of drugs. My heart was in my throat constantly with worry but knowing he was in ASHA for help and the care he was provided with was unbelievable.

I can't thank all the staff enough for giving me back my son.
