"Turned away from the walk in service"

About: Sexual Health Services - North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

Had me travelling an hour and a half on different buses just to be sent away immediately, being told that the doctor can't hand any more prescriptions out for the day and they are leaving after seeing the next couple of patients.

Why advertise it as a walk in clinic until 6 o’clock when u refuse to serve the public even before 5?

The clinic has helped me with free treatments before and some of the staff is really nice and welcoming but this was very rude and insensitive. I’m just a student and I cannot afford to travel like that all for nothing.

Dear Mariahjjj,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I apologise for the inconvenience you experienced when you were turned away at the walk -in. We understand how frustrating it must have been, and we regret we couldn't accommodate you at that time. Your feedback is invaluable and if you would like to discuss further, please email me with your name and contact details on andrea.perkins@mpft.nhs.uk.

Kind regards

Andrea
