"This completely relaxes his breathing"

About: Outpatients Department / Complementary Therapy

(as a relative),

My husband admitted with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Pauline at Airdrie hospice does various treatments ie. Reikl.

This completely relaxes his breathing and as he is on oxygen 24hours that's not easy to achieve.

Pauline is so calm and patient and wonderful at what she accomplishes.

After his treatment my husband was so relaxed he was actually snoring. He slept for over an hour.

Dear Reneandrenata,

I am so sorry to hear that your Husband has been so unwell and that he is experiencing such difficult symptoms. Breathlessness can be a frightening symptom and I am sure that it is not easy to cope with.

It is really wonderful that you have shared a little of your story and to know that the treatments received from our Complimentary Therapist, Pauline, have made such a difference. I imagine that seeing your Husband relaxed had a positive impact on you too. Your wellbeing is important to us too so please reach out if there is anything else that we can do for either of you.

Thank you for writing about your journey. It is really appreciated and it helps us to continue to get things right for people at the toughest of times,

Warmest regards,

Margaret
