"Cancelled appointments"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as a service user),

I originally had an appointment early March this was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and was cancelled via txt with no follow up phone call, i rang and queried if being due on my period would affect my next appointment, they said no and the new appointment would be ok.

I went a week later and was told they can’t fit the coil as I’m due on my period. I left work for this appointment and have been waiting for months for the appointment. I think the whole process of having a phone interview prior to an appointment is pointless. I now have a new appointment another week later which is another week of delays. It’s just ridiculous, the ladies were nice but I’ve wasted my time, petrol, I owe work hours and will owe even more when I go back next week.

Hi volansgb69

My name is Suzie and I am one of the Openclinic Nurse Team Leaders in South Staffordshire. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback to us. I am not sure which clinic this relates to but I am sorry on this occasion that you were unable to have your coil fitted. I understand your frustration. Please don't hesitate to call me (07773 192080) or email me (suzanne.sellberg@mpft.nhs.uk) if you would like to discuss this further. I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.
