"Recovery after a fall"

About: Intermediate and Transitional Care / Community Rehabilitation Team

(as a service user),

I tripped over one of my cats and fell downstairs backwards until I hit my head at the bottom on the radiator

I was totally disoriented and and unable to get up unassisted. My neighbour heard me fall and he together with the pharmacy delivery man got me to my feet and up to bed. I dont recall much about the fall. I ended up in hospital for almost a week. I got a CAT scan and an MRI too. Both were clear but I had slight concussion.

My mobility was worsened but I am now recovering thanks to the after care I've received from the carers who could not have been nicer

Dear Magpiets54

I'm sorry to hear how you ended up in hospital, but I'm sure you are glad to be back home.

It is great to hear you are recovering well and thank you very much for taking time to supply this feedback which I will share with the rest of the team.

Wishing you a continued recovery.
