"I felt comfortable and was heard"

About: Newham Community Health Services / Cardiac Rehabilitation St Bartholomew's Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I had a heart attack and l was taken to Bart’s hospital where l had stents put in. After wards l was discharged home and was referred to have cardiac rehab.

I attended the clinic at SHC where l saw nurse Chika who looked after me. She listened to me, and explained the cardiac risk factors to me. I felt comfortable and was heard. She reassured me regarding my health condition and encouraged me to take one step at a time in making healthy life style changes.
