My aunt is a Type 1 Diabetic, she'd been having palpations and high blood sugars. She went into the doctors twice in the span of 4 days, only to be told nothing. We ended up having to go to A&E where they found she had a tonsil infection. Neither doctor checked her over for any sort of infection, they just took her blood pressure and sent her off. We sat in A&E for 6 hours just to be given antibiotics. Is that not what a GP is for? I understand that the NHS is struggling and understaffed, but there just seems to be a rush with this Surgery to get you in and out the door as quick as possible. Like they don't even care to help. This is also not the first issue we've had with them—before the triage system was set up, you'd spend 2 hours waiting on the phone just to be cut off whilst the receptionists sat around having a chat. It took 3 years of doctors appointments for my mother to get a diagnosis because no one was willing to investigate. Just feels like no one in that surgery cares.
