I recently became a first time mother in Oct and due to myself having a hip problem my son was checked. He too had shallow hips which meant he had to get a harness on. This was within 6 weeks of birth. I'm from rural area in county Tyrone which resulted in travelling to Altnagalvin to get harness on. The nurses, in particular rosemary could not have helped me and my son enough during the 10 weeks.

But I want to express how nurses stated that this new service, where coming down to Omagh hospital for the checks every two weeks. This service was amazing as travelling with young baby resulted in extra stress on meself to get there on time with young baby as well as maintaining feeds. It was not possible to manage time on those days to Altnagalvin but with checks in Omagh it helped with the babies routine. There was a few times where we had get new harnesses and so these checks in Omagh helped with travelling.
