"Reason's for condition not being investigated"

About: Specialist Child Health & Disability / Community Children’s Nursing (Armagh & Dungannon)

(as a parent/guardian),

Child has been admitted to hospital monthly for faecal impaction.

Discharged from paediatrics.

If a child is attending monthly to hospital I would think their peadtrician would be concerned and use their medical knowledge to find out why !! Run tests to check for a damaged bowel, disease, slow transit- something......not just leave 1 of their patients attending hospital monthly as normal.

The peadatrics dept in armagh tower hill is not helping us.

Dear Armagh1234

I am writing to you regarding your concerns about the ongoing management of your child's constipation and faecal impaction. I understand that your child has been admitted to hospital on a monthly basis for this issue and that you feel there has been insufficient support from the community paediatrics team in Armagh Tower Hill.

I want to assure you that we take your concerns very seriously and are committed to providing the best possible care for your child. I appreciate that it must be incredibly frustrating and worrying to have your child repeatedly hospitalised without a clear plan to address the underlying cause of their symptoms.

To help resolve these issues and discuss your concerns in more detail, I would like to arrange for you to have a private meeting with a member of our senior management team. They will be able to listen to your experiences, answer any questions you may have, and work with you to develop a comprehensive plan to better support your child's health needs.

I will ask one of our senior managers to contact you and give their contact details so that you can speak to someone directly.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are committed to working with you to ensure that your child receives the highest standard of care.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. David Graham

Paediatrician
