About: Grantham & District Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I attended my appointment at Grantham District Hospital on surgical unit ward 2 In preparation for a theatre operation of a grommet insertion. I am a healthcare worker, so being on the other side reminded me of the anxieties that patients feel.

The staff were very kind, helpful and reassuring of everything, especially Nurses on ward 2 Louise and Ruby-Rose, the Anaesthetist Gabor (I think that is how it is spelt?), and the lovely theatre recovery Nurse Cathy.

I remember the igel being removed just in time. 😅. Thanks for the morphine. I can honestly say I feel very chilled. Thank you all for your amazing kindness! Best wishes to you all.

Thank you so much for sending in your truly amazing feedback as the staff get such a huge morale boost when patients take the time to do this

It has been shared with the staff and I will ensure theatres see it as well

I hope you are recovering well and please take care and thank you again for sharing with us that we are getting it right, as we work so hard to give patients the best journey and care we can give with the resources we have.
