"Investigation for Conn's syndrome"

About: Marjorie Warren Unit / Endocrine Investigation Unit

(as a service user),

At one level the investigation is simple and straightforward. Lie there for a few hours on a saline drip and have some blood tests. There is nothing to worry about about from looking a little undignified and waiting until the fluids that are going in inevitably try to make their way out! That said, the whole thing is made so much more pleasant when treated with kindness, courtesy and discretion by the staff. Both doctor and nurse who attended were up-beat, cheerful, knowledgeable and reassuring. This plus some discussion of theatre made the time seem shorter and the indignity minimal.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback about the care you received from the Endocrine service. I was pleased to see the care you received helped to provide you with reassurances during your procedure. This is really important to help people feel at ease and get the most out of what you need.

I will share you feedback with the team as I know they will appreciate hearing this.

Kind regards,

Aoife Isherwood
