"I am on the right track after my stroke"

Back in August 2024 I suffered a stroke which changed my life dramatically. I am 76 years old and up until my stroke I was quite active and enjoyed gardening.

I have been recovering at home with the support of my wife and children and the wonderful NHS Community Stroke Team.

Georgia has been remarkable and organised all of my physiotherapy requirements, helping me to build my confidence and slowly regain mobility. Georgia had a team of amazing, supportive ladies, Derrin, Emma, Sandra, Sam and Meg, who have all visited me regularly and contributed to my rehabilitation and recovery.

I would like to thank Georgia and her team for everything they have done to help me, life is different now but I feel I am on the right track.

I am so pleased that the team contributed to building your confidence - this is so crucial and enabling in rehabilitation after such a life changing event.

I wish you all the best for the future. I am sure that you will continue to see positive changes and hopefully will be able to enjoy your garden with improving weather.
