"Showed no respect for patients"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Wards 2, 6,7 10 & 16)

(as a relative),

This was an absolutely shocking experience for a person who was struggling with breathing difficulties. Most of the nurses went for a break at the same time, showed no respect for patients and didn't even answer the ward phone. There was only one nurse that cared for her patients and looked after everyone individually, I give her my respect. But every other one didn't seem to care. I think my relative would be better looked after at home where they can be treated with care and dignity.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch via Care Opinion. It is disappointing to hear about your relative’s experience, this is not the standard of care that we strive to provide. Please can I assure you that your feedback is taken seriously and will be discussed with the team. If you would like to discuss this further, can you please contact Anna Syme, Lead Nurse on 0141 451 5161.

Thank you
