"Cold waiting area"

About: East Kilbride Locality Support Service / Treatment Room (East Kilbride)

(as the patient),

I took my seat in the waiting area, and not for the first time, felt how cold it was.. I am in my 80s, suffer from cancer and a stroke.

The staff who took my blood sample were excellent. But I felt frozen in this large waiting area. The outside doors let in the wind and cold.. Others near me were experiencing the same discomfort.. It was not a little cold, it was freezing cold. I imagine some deflecting screens, electric fan heaters or something similar could be fitted. Please help before we all have the flu!!

Dear attendantbm55

I am so sorry to hear about your experience at Hunter Health Centre. This must have been so uncomfortable and upsetting for you. I will pass this information onto our operational service manager who can escalate this at a higher level in the hope we can resolve this.

In relation to your experience of having your bloods taken, it is so reassuring to know that this part of your visit was a positive one. I just want to reassure you that we are listening and I will pass your concerns on.

Many Thanks for taking the time to feed back

ann
