"Kindness for my partner during my eye surgery"

About: Mater Hospital / Day Procedure Unit (DPU)

(as the patient),

I was really anxious before I had two lots of lens replacement for Acute Angle Closure at the Mater.

My surgeon was Dr Knox and she was excellent. Kind, approachable, considered and considerate are just some of her qualities and, of course, she is a highly skilled eye surgeon. All the other staff - nurses, anaesthetists and admin staff were professional, reassuring and supportive.

Can I give a shout out for the admin staff member who looked out for my partner when I was having my second op? He has Alzheimer’s and had begun to pace in the waiting area. She was so helpful - sorry I cannot remember her name!
