I had never received support or treatment before for my problematic alcohol consumption. Prior to making contact with Inclusion I was extremely anxious about asking for help with my drinking. I completed an online referral but, didn't hear back so, I called Inclusion. I received a call back from a lady called Caroline within a couple of days and she advised me of what support I would receive.
I was contacted by Jim who complete a full assessment and explained that he would be supporting me moving forward, Jim put me at ease, he was easy to speak to, knowledgeable, and understanding.
I found Jim's approach beneficial to the goal I was trying to achieve, he helped me understand my triggers, how to manage urges and cravings, and set SMART goals, not only for my alcohol reduction schedule but, all aspects of my life which supported me achieving my goal.
Jim delivered weekly recovery sessions. Within the first couple of weeks I was not sticking to the agreed alcohol reduction schedule. He asked me whether I was ready to make change and treatment ready. Jim spoke to me in a way that I wanted to make myself proud and also Jim as I could see that he genuinely cared and could see the time and effort he was putting in to support me. After this conversation, I stuck to the agreed plans and went on to exceed my goal. If I hadn't received this support, I don't know where I would be today - I cant thank Inclusion and Jim enough.
