I have a wound on my leg which is taking some time to heal (I am diabetic). A series of wound dressing appointments were quickly arranged at the above clinic. On first attendance the team worked out a plan of treatment involving regular dressing changes, a Dopplar test to ensure circulation was as it should be; compression socks so a full care plan. This has been communicated well to me and in consultation with me. The team has liaised with my GP. I cannot express my thanks highly enough as it is nt just about the wound healing but also about the support, confidence in the team and friendliness and kindness with which one is treated as a worried patient.
The receptionist is smiling, welcoming and friendly as the first point of contact and the nurses all welcome each and every patient they see by asking 'How are you today?'. This makes for a positive and reassuring atmosphere and it does not go unnoticed in this day and age of computerised oblivion.
Thank you to you all.
