"Getting appointment is awful - Do not recommend"

About: Priory Surgery

Sadly I have had repeated difficulty booking appointments and getting appropriate care from this surgery. While the actual staff are kind the system seems very flawed. I have been trying to access care for pelvic pain for months, I have rung and tried online and there's never an appointment available. Last october i was told to get a pelvic exam by the GP due to bleeding....it's now March and I am still being told there isn't an appointment available. When I call to book I am consistently told to call back "tomorrow". This morning I rang at 8am, got through the receptionist at 9:20am who then put me on hold and came back to tell me to call again tomorrow. I have to start work at 9 tomorrow so i am unlikely (again) to get an appointment) This happens every time i ring. please tell me how I am meant to get this serious problem seen to if i can't even get an appointment, I cannot spend every morning sat on the phone for an hour, i am a working single mum who needs to get my kids to school and to work. The pain is getting worse and i am getting no help.

Regarding access to the surgery, whilst demand is very high, nationwide, I would advise that you can select the call back option, so that you do not have to spend time sitting on the phone - you will not lose your place in the queue if you do this. Or contact the practice using our online appointment booking system, which you can find under the Appointments tab on our website www.priorysurgerybristol.co.uk
