"Treated with such dignity and patience"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I was recently a patient in ward 14 in University Hospital Wishaw. I had 3 operations, which resulted in me having another finger amputated. The Surgeons, and their team were amazing.

Back on the Ward, the treatment I received was astonishing. The Consultant and team would come and check on me daily. The Nurses, well, I cannot praise them highly enough. They are dedicated, professional and magnificent, as were all the domestics . My stay was for nearly 5 weeks, during that time I was treated with such dignity and patience from everyone involved.

Nobody likes to be in hospital, but it was humbling to watch them all do their work.

Thank you to everyone who treated me.

God Bless You All.

The only thing that I felt could be improved was the food.
