I have recently been in ward B11 in Falkirk Royal infirmary for 2 weeks. I am writing to commend the whole team.
I arrived very ill for an emergency operation and was looked after so well. My overwhelming thanks to Mr Emin for doing the operation. His junior Dr Niave who updated me every night as well. Furthermore the housekeepers and domestics who kept my spirits up in room 31 chatting and then on to the caring support workers who never made me feel my care requirements were too much. On to the fabulous staff nurses who were wonderful. Too many kind girls to name but they just held me and my family together through a difficult time allowing my husband to stay with me and taking care of him as well.
There were also some really good student nurses getting excellent training as well
The aim was to get home and I cannot thank the extra teams involved as well, physio and OT pulling out the stops the girls from the other teams I needed as well !! You know who you are
From the bottom of my heart I thank you all and I want you all to know how appreciated you are. The ward was so so busy and often buzzers went for a long time as staff were so short on the ground but they were always answered and never ignored. My wish for the ward would be more staff for them but realise how difficult this is in such a busy hospital.
"Excellent care"
