"Ear clinic"

About: Stracathro Hospital / Community Treatment & Care Centre (CTACS)

(as the patient),

I had an appointment for my ear to be cleaned. I received a phone call  the day before, to ensure I was still going, which was good incase I had forgotten about my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I was took at the correct time, the nurse introduced herself, explained what was about to happen. She continued with the procedure, done an excellent job and I was out in no time. Brilliant service, Sonia the nurse was so nice and caring. She is a credit to the service.

Dear Hi2,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this positive feedback on Care Opinion for Angus CTAC Service. I am very pleased to hear that you found the service brilliant and the appointment went very smoothly for you.

The delivery of the Angus Ear Care Service has recently been taken over by the CTAC Team, which involves intensive training and whilst we are aware we are working through some capacity issues, we have been working hard to manage the appointments and maximise attendance. The Administrative Team take the credit for having the idea to contact people the day before and this working well to increase attendance.

Sonia is indeed a very caring nurse taking great pride in her role and commitment to the CTAC Service, so she will be delighted to hear this feedback. We are very grateful to hear people’s stories as this helps us improve the service and reassures us that we are achieving the high standard we aim for, from start to end of the care. So thank you again very much, I will pass this on to the Team, and I wish you well.

Elaine Fleming, Community Clinic Team Leader
