"I found this a waste of time"

About: University Hospital Monklands

(as the patient),

The place has no signs or directions anywhere. I found the hallways creepy. Outdated charts. Finally found the pharmacy and waited 1 hr for prescription. Cannot understand why they ask patients. To pick up prescriptions and go to the pharmacy. Why not have these ready for patient. What a waste of time.

Anyhow, pharmacy is a farce. They make you wait and when you complain they actually hold onto your meds and ask extra extra questions. Look like I’m desperately needing my meds.

I found it disgraceful. If you want to see what is wrong with the NHS in Scotland, this was a perfect example.

Dear wate of time,

Thank you for sharing your experience at the pharmacy at University Hospital Monklands.

I am sorry that you found it very challenging to find the pharmacy and that there was no signage to guide you. It is disappointing to hear that you were also made to wait having been asked to attend the pharmacy to collect your prescription.

Please could I ask that you contact our Patient Affairs team so they can investigate this further and provide you with a personal response?
