"Don’t bother"

About: Priory Surgery

I do not contact the gp unless I feel it is absolutely necessary as quite frankly, I find the whole ordeal extremely stressful. I have tried twice this year to get an appointment to speak to a gp regarding a health concern with myself, and a month later my son. I have to take time unpaid off work to call at 8am to be number 20 something in the queue to then finally get through to be told all the appointments have gone. Then repeat this process for days before giving up. I was referred to the gp by 111 yesterday and on arrival was told (very rudely) I could not be seen as there are no appointments. That was 3 days, and hours of unpaid working time feeling absolutely dreadful trying to get an appointment to be sent away. My mother recently passed away with a brain tumour after being incorrectly diagnosed with a chest infection. I have no faith in our health service and feel there is nowhere to turn when you actually need help. I will not be bothering again.
