"Carelessness of the night staff"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Royal Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Feel really awful. Due to severe chest pain i called the ambulance and was taken to the emergency department in the royal at around 7pm.

Once i reached there they checked my bp and took the ecg and after a while they took my blood as well. Around 1 am they once again checked my bp and asked me to wait. After waiting for a while, we enquired about the results and the staffs said we have to wait until morning as the doctors were busy.

Around 7:30 am in the morning one of the staffs who admitted me last night asked me why am i there still. I explained everything to her and she checked the system and she said that i was discharged at around 2 am and my name is’nt showing up in the system.

They could check the cctv if they want as we never stepped out of the building. This is a disgrace and I feel the behaviour of the night staffs was unacceptable.
