"Under this place from 2023-2025"

I was referred here by police due to a case of adult grooming/sexual abuse , was unsupported by Sarc .felt as if I didn't matter , was worthless and no emotional support. One of the people didn't even meet me , didn't seem interested when I was distressed and this place has made me feel completely invisible not empowered or cared for .

As a victim can't say I've been treated as one .alone to understand things police say or when I'm updated , emotional support zero here . basically wasn't important enough as a human being and this is a place which is meant to support women when they report things and through court. Still going through court .justice system and these various places not sure what they do or care for me what so ever. Haven't felt cared for or even human being half the time. Like my well being didn't matter .my experience of reporting anything is negative and my experience of being made to feel better or valued or even cared for. If you want to be made to feel invisible or worthless maybe

My name is Carolyn Wright, and I am the Team Coordinator at Spring Lodge which is home to the Sexual Assault referral Centre (SARC) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) service.

I would like to thank you for coming forward regarding how you are feeling and would like to apologies that you were made to feel like this. At Spring Lodge, we pride ourselves with working closely with our clients to formulate a plan of care that is realistic and appropriate for their needs. I am sorry that this did not happen for you, and you were made to feel “invisible and worthless” This is not an experience that I would want anyone to feel who is seeking our support. If you would like to speak with me about this further so I can gain a better understanding of your experience and concerns, please contact our Experience of Care Team on lpft.pals@nhs.net or call them on 01529 222265 and they can arrange a call for you.

Carolyn

SARC/ISVA Team Coordinator.
