"Caring and dedicated staff"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as the patient),

My experience at Crosshouse Hospital was made easier by the kindness & professional staff. I was admitted to Ward 3E last month. Luckily I didn't have a stroke - it was Bell's Palsy. I stayed in Hospital one night. The care and attention I received was excellent. The lady doctor that came to seem me before admitting me to the Ward 3E was lovely, and made feel at ease straight away. I've forgotten her name unfortunately. All the nurses & doctors on Ward 3E were excellent and a special mention to Alena - she was a ray of sunshine and nothing was too much trouble for her. And Megan, the student nurse on her first day, did so well and will make a great nurse.

Thank you to all the caring and dedicated staff at Crosshouse Hospital.

Dear travellerhs78,

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided within Ward 3E, University Hospital Crosshouse.

I sorry to hear that you required admission to hospital with a suspected stroke. I can only imagine how scary and anxious this must have been for you. However, it is reassuring to know that this was quickly confirmed to be Bell’s Palsy. It is also great to know that you found the care in the ward to be excellent and that the staff were friendly and attentive.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients, and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Team in Ward 3E and in particular with Alena and Megan. I know they will all be delighted to receive this feedback and to know that you felt so well supported whilst you were under their care.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
