(as a service user),

Angela from CAUSE reached out to me in 2024 shortly after my sister's admission to AMHIC. Her kindness  empathy and knowledge has been immensely appreciated. Looking back, I know now I had been very stressed by all that happened leading up to my sister's detention under the Mental Health Order. My first impression of Angela was so reassuring, her empathy allowed me to immediately trust and engage with her. To have that support and a listening ear was greatly appreciated. Her wise words have helped me navigate this new, and at times, overwhelming journey that I'm now on as my sister's carer. Through Angela and the CAUSE team's organisation 

I have attended several very informative talks from mental health professionals, met other carers, who are now friends. I've throughly enjoyed and very much appreciated all the events and social gatherings Angela at CAUSE has invited me to.
Thank you Angela for everything. You truly are an angel without visible wings!

My name is Clare Forsythe and I am the Patient and Client Experience Manager here in the Belfast Trust.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story about the support you have received from Angela at CAUSE.

I apologise for the delay in responding to your story, as CAUSE is an organisation that sits outside the Trust, they will not have been alerted to your story.

I hope yourself and your sister are doing well.

It is great to hear that Angela and CAUSE have provided you with such great support and that you felt able to trust Angela so well right from the start.

CAUSE are an amazing organisation and I am so pleased to hear that you were able to avail of the informative talks and information session, and that you have met other carers through these also.

I will ensure that Angela is aware your story has been published on Care Opinion, I’m sure she will be delighted with your feedback.
