"An angel in disguise"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

Not all superheroes wear capes...I have recently had delayed DIEP breast reconstruction at GRI. My consultant surgeon, Mr Chew, is an angel in disguise. He is the most wonderful surgeon, who is a true professional, a perfectionist and most of all actually cares. I would trust this man with my life! I cannot recommend him highly enough and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are very lucky to have this talent.

The surgical team and anaesthetist team were all wonderful ( I can't remember all their names as had a lot of medications however I do remember Ms Tay and a registrar Romulus) After surgery I was well cared for by the nursing staff in Ward 48 who again continued excellent care and I was home within 48 hours of my surgery feeling super positive for the future.

Thanks again for the most wonderful experience, your efforts have given me something back which was missing from my life for a very long time.

Thank you for taking the time to give such high praise to the team that you were under for your recent surgery. I will share your kind comments.

I hope you are continuing to recover at home and wish you well for the future

Kind regards
