"Gallbladder removal surgery"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Emergency Surgical Unit (EMSU)

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Antrim Area Hospital for surgery to get my gallbladder removed everyone in EMSU were great. They made me feel at ease explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions without any animosity. Domestic, Catering and porters all treated me with the upmost respect and did all they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks too to the theatre staff who made it easy to get ready for my op and to Mr Gudyma for the keyhole surgery.

Hi,

May name is Nuala O'Connell and I am the manager of C3 and EMSU.

Firstly thank you for taking the time so send in this care opinion. We are extremely proud of all the hard work our staff carry out on a daily basis and it is so reassuring to read positive words. I will personally pass on your care opinion to them. Our services could not function without our catering, domestic and portering staff so I'm sure they also will be delighted to receive your feedback.

I hope you are continuing to recover well at home and again thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Many thanks

Nuala O'Connell
