I called NHS 24 on a Friday night regarding severe abdominal pain, to the point I could barely move. They told me there was nothing they could do and to phone back if the pain becomes worse. This resulted in me going to A&E early Saturday morning, where I had to have surgery as I had a ruptured cyst that caused internal bleeding. I feel like this could’ve been sorted or prevented a lot sooner if NHS 24 didn’t turn me away.
The staff in SAU FVRH were excellent with me! Couldn’t have asked for a better team to support me and explain everything to me clearly, ensuring I understood every aspect of what was going on.
Also, the staff in ward 6 (women and children) were amazing with me! Ensuring I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff in both these wards are such an amazing team and go above and beyond! Providing high quality care. A big thank you to ward 6 and SAU.
