"Once again another positive birth experience"

About: Maternity care / Labour suite maternity Maternity care / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as a service user),

Had my labour induced in January this was baby number 4 I've had all my babies in rah paisley and have always had a great experience all my babies have been an induction which normally had went quite fast however this baby seemed rather comfy and took 4 days to make an appearance.

All the staff were very kind as always. The food was very nice for hospital food.

I feel as though the toilets on the ward are not as clean as they used to be one of the girls that was on my ward was sick during the night in the bathroom and she got sick on the wall next to the toilet, they were cleaned but missed the sick on the wall and shower curtains could do with being changed but apart from that I only have good things to say about rah maternity.

I actually miss being there after discharge. Midwife Amanda on labour ward and her student midwife Lisa were by far the best I have came across on labour ward they made the birth of our daughter a great time. Amanda is highly skilled in her job and a great asset to the hospital and full of personality brilliant lady.

Once baby was here she struggled with feeding because of mucous and once again all the staff helped trying to get her to feed can't thank everyone on labour ward and on ward 31a for once again another positive birth experience keep up the great work.

Dear kel92

Thank you for taking the time to respond on care opinion. Congratulation on your birth and hope you are all well. Many thanks for highlighting the issue in the toilets and I will take this up with the team.

Such lovely comments about Amanda and her student Lisa. I will share your post with them and agree Amanda is a brilliant midwife and asset to the team.

Kindest Regards,

Laura Flynn
