I had a lovely day at the the cataract unit at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline. The staff were all delightful and I would like to put forward two nurses - in particular who were looking after me - Ruth and Mel. I am seriously disabled with polio and multiple-sclerosis and
I have been completely whelchair-bound for several years now. When I arrived at the Unit I was needing to go to the disabled bathroom facility and I asked for someone to help me. This delightful nurse called Mel came to help me. She was so understanding, happy and good-humoured and she made my bathroom stop full of good humour but still very professional.
Ruth was the nurse who looked after me during my cataract procedure.
She was so gentle and good-humoured in her manner but also very professional. The time I spent with Ruth was a very happy time and I would like to thank her for that. The cataract procedure was carried out successfully by Doctor Karri and I must thank her for her expertise.
Thank you for giving us such an exceptional and happy cataract unit.
"So understanding, happy and good-humoured"
