"Smashed collar bone 3 places"

About: Outpatients / Fracture Clinic

(as a service user),

I had just come out of my flat and went to go down the steps, 15 concrete steps, and I went all faint, started to fall, and all I remember is closing my eyes and awoke at the bottom against the metal buzzer entry door.

I felt sick and really dizzy and confused. I was freezing cold so lay there for what I worked out was a good hour before coming to. But the worst was the pain, I couldn't get up until the postman came and got me help.

Took to Forth Valley Hospital and all they done was put a blue sling on me and pointed out the bus stop. I felt I was an inconvenience to them, no care or compassion at all,  actually went home and cried.

This happened just over 1 yr ago and I am still in pain, muscle in my neck is solid, painful.

Dear Mr Jack

Thank you for sharing with us your experience and I am so sorry to hear that you are still in pain and experiencing difficulties. It is disappointing to read about your care experience and I am sorry you found it unsupportive, and lacking in care and compassion.

I would be grateful if you could contact me on 01324 566162 or by e-mail caroline.logan@nhs.scot to enable us to chat and for me to gather further information.

Best Wishes

Caroline
