"worried that something is wrong"

About: Maternity / Maternity Outpatient Department

(as a service user),

I was sent a letter telling me a telephone appointment had been made for me in obstetrics anesthesiology, a department I had never interacted with before or knew I was referred to. 10 minutes before my appointment time a voicemail appeared on my phone telling me I'd missed my appointment and they were too busy to phone back.

It made me very frustrated that I had taken time off work for my appointment time but was denied the appointment because they rang before my appointment time. The appointment was scheduled to be 20 minutes long so it doesn't make sense why they couldn't ring again and there was no number for me to ring back.

No further appointments have been made for me, which has left me feeling very anxious. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and don't know why I even need the appointment, which has left me worried that something is wrong.
