"I’m not sure how I would have coped without you all."

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

After experiencing complications in pregnancy I am forever grateful for the care I received both antenatally and postnatally. All the staff in ward 16/labour ward, including midwife’s. Health care assistants, doctors and domestic staff  really do go above and beyond to give outstanding and compassionate care.

While the early birth of my baby is something that I still haven't come to terms with, the staff ensured his safe arrival and helped me celebrate his birth even when things were difficult. They showed interest in his progress and even on discharge many of the staff checked in with me when I was spending time in SCBU with my little one.
The staff really made me feel understood and cared for during our time on the ward (approx 13 nights over 3 visits).

Thank you so much you should all be so proud of the work you do and the difference you make, I’m not sure how I would have coped without you all.
