"Offering appointments 4 weeks ahead"

About: Riverside Health Centre

I would love to meet one of these patients who rate the service at Riverside as excellent, I returned from holiday after receiving hospital appointment abroad and there was a 4 week wait for an appointment, so I had to seek private medical treatment . To day I have just checked the appointment availability and it is for 27 days ahead at Harworth with, not a doctor , but a nurse. What are the secrets of the patients who are getting excellent service. It seems to me that there is no improvement and frankly it is 3rd world service from a very expensively funded NHS GP practice.

Good morning, thank you for taking the time to visit this page and leave a review. I am sorry to read the information you feel is accurate in regards to our appointment waiting times. We do appreciate all patient feedback and this is shared with the wider team to allow us to make changes where required. We have listened to the feedback from our patients and now have a very a very efficient appointment system which is triaged by experienced GPs who allocate appointments according to clinical priority. We do see a large proportion of patients on the same day if their presenting condition is deemed urgent. We also offer pre-bookable appointments with all clinicians including doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses etc. It is a very rare occurrence, that a patient has to wait 4 weeks for an appointment so I am very concerned that you state this was the case when you required our services recently. Patients have the option to use our Anima triage system where doctors will allocate appointments according to clinical priority and to ensure they see the most appropriate clinician. If a patient requests to see a specific doctor then this may generate a longer waiting time depending on their availability.
